BANGKOK 14 October 2019 — The Examination Team from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), headed by Atty. Nilo N. Martin, with assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, successfully conducted the 3rd Special Licensure Examination for Teachers (SPLET) on 29 September 2019 at the Ekamai International School in Bangkok, Thailand. The 2019 SPLET was taken by 345 examinees, the highest number since the exam was first conducted in Thailand in 2017.
Before the actual date of the examination, the Team met with the pre-qualified examinees at the Embassy’s Conference Room for two days, to check their original documents and to distribute their respective Notices of Admission (NOA).
Passing the SPLET will be an opportunity for Filipinos working in Thailand as teaching professionals to contribute in the future to the successful implementation of the new K to 12 Basic Education Program of the Philippines and ensure that the promise of a “demographic dividend” owing to the country’s huge base of young people is realized.
