Advanced Security Cooperation Course Fellows Call On PH Consul General in Honolulu

HONOLULU 14 October 2019 — Philippine officials attending the Advanced Security Cooperation (ASC) Course 19-2 at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) called on Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu on 30 September 2019.
The ASC Course 19-2 fellows include Lieutenant Colonel Ferdinand P. Romano, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan P. Hallara, and Major Lynch B. Demasana of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rey S. Reuyan and Major Donald L. Sia-Ed of the Philippine Army (PA), and Major Frances B. Vitug from the Judge Advocate General Service (JAGS), and House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Jona Villasante.
Also present at the call were Deputy Consul General Angelica C. Escalona, Consul Grace Anne G. Bulos, Armed Forces of the Philippines Liaison Officer to the United States Indo-Pacific Command (U.S. INDOPACOM) Colonel Joseph P. Archog and Assistant AFP Liaison Officer Lieutenant Colonel Vince James DG Bantilan.
The ASC Course focuses on building relationships among mid-career leaders and decision makers within the Indo-Pacific region. Its curriculum emphasizes the non-warfighting aspects of security and international relations, and challenges fellows to develop regional and transnational perspectives.
The ASC 19-2 started on 19 September 2019 and will end on 23 October 2019. END
