PH Consulate in Jeddah Meets with Filipino Community in Najran

JEDDAH 14 October 2019 —Consul General to Jeddah Edgar B. Badajos met the Filipino community in Najran during the consular outreach mission on 06 to 07 September.
The following Filipino community organizations were present with their respective leaders from United Filipino Organization in Najran (UFON), Najran All Filipino Community Sports Associations (NAFCSA), Najran Filipino Community (NFC), Samahan ng mg Pilipino sa Najran (SPN), Tau Gamma Phi, Guardians Socialite Society Inc. (GSSI), Guardians Bona Fide for Hope Foundation, Inc. (GBHFI)–1 Ganap, and Supreme Guardians Legioner International, Inc. (SGLII). Also present during the meeting were Najran Filipino Community Coordinator Paisal Mailao and Assistant Coordinator Ms. Nemencia Marcos.
Consul General Badajos hailed the contribution of the approximately 7,850 Filipinos in Najran, most of whom are working in the medical field. He likewise thanked the organizations present for their unwavering support and assistance for the programs and activities of the Consulate. He urged them to closely coordinate with the Consulate in providing assistance to other Filipinos, especially those who are in distress.
Najran is the capital of the province of the same name. It is located in the southern part of Saudi Arabia. Najran City is around 926.10 kilometers from Jeddah which is approximately 10 hours and 17 minutes by land, and 1 hour and 45 minutes by plane. END
