PH Ambassador Meets Alstahaug Mayor

Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia (center) met with Alstahaug Mayor Bård Anders Langø (left) during her visit in the Helgeland region. Ambassador Batoon-Garcia expressed appreciation for the Norwegian government’s efforts and opportunities to welcome the Filipinos in Alstahaug Kommune and the Helgeland region.

 Mayor Langø said that there are around 200 Filipinos in the Helgeland region, most of whom are employed in the hospitality sector and fisheries and oil industries. He also mentioned that 30 Norwegian families support the Bridge Builder Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Baclaran, Philippines. (Oslo PE photo)
