PH Consulate General in New York Conducts Consular Outreach in Rhode Island, Connecticut

NEW YORK 07 November 2019 — The Consulate General in New York, led by Consul Ricarte Abejuela III, successfully conducted its back-to-back consular outreach activities in Newport, Rhode Island and Groton, Connecticut, on 05 and 06 October 2019, respectively.
In Newport outreach, the team was able to render a total of 48 passport applications, 16 citizenship reacquisition petitions, 26 documents, and six civil registry documents. The National Federation of Filipino American Associations - Rhode Island assisted the consular team in the one-day activity.
Meanwhile, the team was able to process and approve a total of 47 passport applications, 22 citizenship reacquisition petitions, 16 documents, and 13 civil registry documents in the Groton outreach. The consular team was assisted by the KIDS Philippines, Inc.
The Filipinos extended their gratitude to the Consulate for bringing consular services to their cities. They also commended the team for their professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency. The outreach services were highly appreciated, for it saved them the time and effort to travel to New York. END
