PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Lauds FilCom’s Advocacy

LOS ANGELES 07 November 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General joined the Leyte Samar Association (LSA) in celebrating its 57th Anniversary held on 20 October 2019 at the Luminarias Restaurant, Monterey, California.
In the welcome remarks of LSA President Corina Cosip, she commended the members for their active involvement to the Association’s endeavors. As a sign of appreciation, she presented a video featuring the Association’s accomplishments in the recent years. Ms. Cosip also took the opportunity to pay tribute to the LSA’s past Presidents by asking everyone to observe a moment of silence. She likewise acknowledged the support of the Consulate General upon introducing its representative, Deputy Consul General Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III.
The Deputy Consul General extended the Consulate General’s felicitations to the Association for its philanthropic services to the Filipino community since its inception in 1962, particularly the provision of low cost housing and educational sponsorship. . While the Association’s long-standing programs are impressive, the Deputy Consul General encouraged them to reach for greater heights in the future and to further expand their membership to ensure the Association’s continuation in the future.
After delivering his remarks, the Deputy Consul General led the induction of the Association’s officers. END
