San Francisco Consular Corps Spouses Indulges in Seafood City Treat

SAN FRANCISCO 31 October 2019 - Members of the League of San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC), led by the League’s President Madame Mariza S. Bensurto, spouse of Consul General Henry S. Bensurto, Jr., received a sumptuous treat from the popular Filipino supermarket complex Seafood City in South San Francisco on 11 October 2019.
The group was treated to authentic Filipino dishes, such as sinigang na hipon, pancit bihon, crispy bagnet, chopsuey, buko pandan, among other recipes prepared by Seafood City Supermarket.
In her remarks before lunch, Madame Bensurto welcomed the group and expressed the hope that LSFCC members would feel the warmth of Filipino hospitality and enjoy Filipino cuisine.
Seafood City Supermarket’s Marketing Head, Raymond Olgado, also toured the group in the supermarket complex and introduced the products and services that cater to the Filipino-American and Asian communities in the area. The complex includes a grocery, a food court, Filipino owned fast food chains Jollibee, Red Ribbon and Chowking, Filipino remittance centers, such as Philippine National Bank (PNB) and MLhuillier, among others.
“The visit allowed us to know more about Filipino and Asian products and Filipino cuisine,” LSFCC members said based on their feedbacks.
