SINGAPORE 01 October 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, in cooperation with the Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), successfully staged as part of Art Trek 13 the exhibition, “The World through the Eyes of Filipino Lensman” featuring Filipino photo artist Jun Pagalilauan at the Loke Wan Tho Gallery, Selegie Arts Centre from 23 to 25 September 2019.
Pagalilauan is a Singapore-based architect who has already won many accolades for his fine art photography, including IPA-International Photo Awards in New York, Tokyo International Photo Awards, and EPSON Pano Awards.
The exhibition is a collection of black & white landscape photography taken during Mr. Pagalilauan’s various travels to Singapore, Paris, New York, Indonesia, Japan, and Batanes, among other countries. This is Mr. Pagalilauan’s first solo exhibition.
Consul General Adrian Bernie C. Candolada delivered the welcome remarks on behalf of Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap in front of a jampacked gallery.
“This is the first time that Art Trek is featuring a photo-artist in recognition of the various media of art and styles that Filipino artists are exploring. It is also the first time that the Embassy is collaborating with PSS and we look forward to more collaborations with them on cultural diplomacy,” Consul General Candolada said. END
