02 April 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Osaka, in cooperation with the Philippine-Japan Asia Tomonokai, successfully conducted a consular outreach activity at the Kani City Fukushi Center in Gifu Prefecture last March 22.
During the one-day consular outreach activity, the Consulate team processed 116 e-Passport applications, 86 notarials and civil registry reports, including reports of birth and reports of marriage. Consultation services on various consular matters were also provided by the officers and staff.
Members of the Filipino community expressed gratitude for the holding of the consular outreach activity in Kani City given the distance that they would have to travel if they were to avail of consular services in Osaka. Kani City is about 220 kilometers east of Osaka City. As of June 2013, there are 9,124 registered Filipino nationals in Gifu prefecture.
The next consular outreach mission will be conducted in Nagoya City on 19 April 2014. END
