JEDDAH 25 November 2019 – In line with the Philippine government’s continuing commitment to promote accountability and integrity among government officials that will lead to public trust, officials from the Commission on Audit (COA) conducted its bi-annual audit of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, among other Philippine foreign service posts, on 3 to 15 November 2019. 

The COA Audit Teams were composed of Atty. Dayl Tonolete, Engr. Lloyd Malatamban, Atty. Eleno Malesido, and Mr. Victor Dizon. They team audited the Philippine Consulate, including its attached agencies—Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Social Welfare Administration, Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, and Pag-IBIG.

The COA Audit Teams audited the cash and property accountabilities of the accountable officers of the Consulate and its attached agencies, budget utilization, and performance audit on selected areas of operations like the overseas voting and assistance to nationals, among others, for the period of 2017-2019.
