PH Embassy in Islamabad Holds General Assembly Meeting

As part of the Embassy’s efforts to bring closer its services to the Filipino people in line with its mandate to protect and promote the welfare of Filipinos in Pakistan, the Embassy in Islamabad, in coordination with the United OFWs of Lahore, jointly organized a general meeting with the Filipino Community in Lahore on 19 October 2019 at the Hongkong Restaurant in Lahore, Pakistan. The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad and The Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Lahore, during the general assembly of OFWs in Lahore, gave presentations on the following topics: introduction on Pakistan, getting to know the officials of the Philippine Embassy and Honorary Consulate General, POEA Rules and other relevant Philippine labor legislations, Philippine government’s anti-drug campaign, programs against TIP/illegal recruitment, reminders on disaster preparedness and emergency response, and updates on relevant laws and programs.  (Islamabad PE photo)
