PH Consulate General in Jeddah Receives Photographs from Filipino Photographers Community

JEDDAH 25 November 2019 – To help further brighten up the interior of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah and to highlight the positive relationship between the Consulate and Filipino artists in the Western Region of the Kingdom, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah received a dozen of framed photographs on 07 November 2019 as a donation from Kulay Philippine Photographers Community (KULAY), a group of multi-awarded and highly-acclaimed Filipino photographers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The photographs depict picturesque landscapes both in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia that are part of the recently concluded “A Fusion of Cultures Photography Exhibit” held at the Consulate Hall on 26 to 31 October 2019, which was held in commemoration of the golden anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the KSA. Among the Philippines and KSA landmarks featured in the photographs include Vigan and Bangui Windmills in Ilocos Norte, Al-Balad and the Bicycle Roundabout in Jeddah.
Consul General Edgar B. Badajos thanked the officers of KULAY for their support to the Consulate and in its cultural activities. He said that the photographs will be displayed in public areas of the Consulate to serve as inspiration and source of hope especially to distressed Overseas Filipino Workers. END
