HONGKONG 03 December 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong hosted two free no-bake cooking class sessions for Filipino household service workers on 10 November 2019 at the Consulate Gallery.
At the “Christmas Cookie Class” conducted by one of Pintura Circle’s Director, Abigail Camaya-Hills, the participants were introduced to different techniques in cookie dough-making, molding/cutting, and sugar icing-making. They were also taught how to decorate cut-out Christmas cookies that Ms. Hills had baked in advance for the class. A total of 40 OFWs attended the class sessions.
The project is part of the Consulate’s programs and advocacies, in cooperation with Pintura Circle, a group of Hong Kong-based Filipino artists, in its continued efforts to provide alternative avenues of development for our Kababayans in Hong Kong not only for artistic expression, but also to unlock their potentials and broaden their knowledge and skills.
