CALGARY 04 December 2019 – Philippine Consul General to Calgary Zaldy Patron met with Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) Director of Programs Eva Szasz-Redmon and other officials of CIWA to formalize the Philippine Consulate General’s partnership with CIWA in serving Filipino members of the Canadian society on 13 November 2019.
The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary and CIWA look forward to serving more than 75,000 Filipinos in Calgary through programs and activities that aim to help integrate Filipino immigrants in Canada and help them become more productive members of the Canadian society.
Established in 1982, CIWA is a gender-specific, culturally-diverse settlement agency and non-profit organization that “recognizes, responds to, and focuses on the unique concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls and their families.” Its mission is to engage and integrate all immigrant women and their families into the Canadian society.
