PH Embassy in Vietnam Conducts Mobile Consular Outreach in Phu Quoc

HANOI 13 December 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Hanoi conducted its first mobile consular outreach in Phu Quoc, Kien Giang province, located in the southern part of Vietnam at Salinda Resort on 23 November 2019.

Passport renewal and other consular services were offered to the Filipino community.

On the same day, the Embassy organized a short film screening on "VAW: The Unspoken Words" as part of its initiative to support the 18-day campaign to end violence against women. The film screening was aimed to create public awareness and correct public perception that violence against women is only limited to physical abuse.

The Phu Quoc visit was capped off by a meeting between Chargé d' Affaires Paul Vincent Uy and the members of the Filipino community on 24 November 2019. END
