PH Participates at Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances 2019

HONG KONG 13 December 2019 — Two Filipino community organizations performed Philippine folk dances at the Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances 2019, organized by the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department on 14 November 2019 at the Hong Kong Cultural Center’s Piazza C.
The Tinikling Group of Migrants performed “Tinikling” while the Migrant Ilonggo Association International performed “Salakot” at the event which was participated in by 11 other countries namely, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.
Initiated in 2010, the Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances aims to promote cultural exchange by showcasing traditional ethnic music and dance performances by Asians residing in Hong Kong. END
