PH Ambassador to United States Joins the Veterans Day Celebration in Delavan, Wisconsin

CHICAGO 13 December 2019 –– The Ambassador to the United States of America Jose Manuel G. Romualdez graced the Veterans Day Ceremonies of Delavan-Darrien High School and the American Legion on 11 November 2019 in Delavan, Wisconsin.
Ambassador Romualdez attended two official events in the morning organized by Retired United States Navy Captain Brian Buzzel from Wisconsin.
The first event was a speech before students of Delavan-Darien High School on Veterans Day. Ambassador Romualdez spoke before a hundred high school students who performed a short program for the Ambassador.
The second event was a Veterans Day Ceremony organized by the Delavan American Legion, Post 95 in Wisconsin. The Ambassador took the opportunity to express his grateful appreciation to the American Legion, Post 95, for its efforts to support the return of the Balangiga Bells to the Filipino people last year. He acknowledged that it was challenging undertaking but worth the effort to promote further strengthening the ties that bind the Philippine and the United States.
Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day Celebration pays tribute to the veterans whose bravery and sacrifices have secured freedom, democracy and peace for many peoples around the world. END
