PH Embassy in Canberra Delivers Consular Services to Filipinos in Perth

PERTH 13 December 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra completed a five-day mobile consular mission in Perth, Western Australia on 11-15 November 2019.
This second consular mission to Perth for calendar year 2019 resulted in the processing of 840 passport applications, and the administering of the oath of allegiance to more than 80 Filipinos who reacquired their Filipino citizenship under the Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003.
The mission was headed by Philippine Embassy in Canberra’s Third Secretary and Vice Consul Nicole de Castro with consular assistants Rowena Ma. Carmen Sierra, Roderick Sierra and Gloria Celis. Antonio Saquing Jr. of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Canberra also conducted one-on-one consultations with Filipino overseas workers.
The Mobile Consular Mission was supported by the Philippine Consulate in Perth, led by Philippine Honorary Consul Michael Gillis, and volunteers from the Filipino community.
