PH Wins First Place in the 2019 Alief International Parade

HOUSTON 16 December 2019 — The Philippines bagged first place among the 72 groups from various schools, businesses, government offices and consulates who participated in the annual Alief International Parade held on 26 October 2019 in Houston.

The awarding ceremony was held during the Alief Quarterly Networking Breakfast on 12 November 2019 in which the first place trophy was received by the representatives of the Philippine Consulate General in Houston, Ikalinga of Southern United Stated Inc., Filipino Young Professionals of Houston, Cebu Sinulog Dancers and Mindanao State University eVillage International.

During the parade, the participants showcased Philippine culture through music, dance and colorful costumes of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, regaling audiences along the two-mile parade route. The signature tourism campaign of the Philippine Department of Tourism, “It’s More Fun in the Philippines,” was also displayed.  END
