Philippines, France Sign Letter of Intent on Maritime Cooperation

PARIS 16 December 2019 —  Following the signing of the Technical Arrangement on Defense Equipment Cooperation between Philippine National Defense Secretary Delfin F. Lorenzana and his French counterpart, Minister Florence Parly, and the convening of the second Joint Defense Consultative Committee Meeting in September 2019, a Letter of Intent (LOI) on Enhancing Defence Cooperation in the Maritime Domain was signed during the official visit of Secretary Lorenzana on 29 November 2019 in Paris.

Secretary Lorenzana’s visit to France culminated in the increased level of interaction between the defense ministries of the Philippines and France in 2019 and acknowledged the vast potential of this field of cooperation between the two countries. END
