Yakushev gave an engaging presentation on the facilities and booking packages offered by Shangri-La Philippines.
Nikulova focused on the different activities available for all types of tourists in the Philippines, while Nosov and Sudorgin spoke about some of the unique attractions only found in the Philippines.
The speakers highlighted the most popular tourist destinations such as Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, Siargao, and the Mountain Province. Overall, the presentations were informative, entertaining, appealing, and received very good feedback.
Pavlova thanked the Philippine Embassy in Moscow for its “support and guidance” during the seminar. She praised the Post’s efforts to introduce Philippine culture and travel destinations to Russian travelers through various promotional activities.
The Philippine Embassy in Moscow distributed maps and tourism materials, and served Philippine food brands such as KSK Food (Boy Bawang snacks), Monde MY San Corp (Skyflakes), Goody Goody Banana Chips, Archipelago Banana Chips, and products from Jedidiah Food Industry, Gourmet Farm, Natural Health Products, and Good Sense/Mapagmahal Foods. The Philippine teas and snack foods were a hit to the participants, with most of them coming back for more.
According to Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta, Russia remains a lucrative and largely untapped tourism market, adding that “the lack of awareness about Philippine tourist destinations is one of the challenges we face and we are determined to change this by aggressively promoting the Philippines in its totality: its products, cuisine, culture, art, history and of course its warm and friendly people.” END
