PH Consulate General in Houston Conducts Consular Outreach Mission in New Mexico

HOUSTON 20 December 2019 — As part of the Philippine Government’s efforts to bring its various services closer to the public, the Philippine Consulate General in Houston conducted its first consular outreach mission in New Mexico on 09 November 2019 at the Inn at Rio Rancho and Conference Center, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

The consular outreach mission was led by Philippine Vice Consul to Houston Marco AFL Lopez, and was done in cooperation with the Filipino American Foundation of New Mexico (FAFNM), a New Mexico-based Filipino non-government organization led by its President, Lieutenant Colonel Gloria Kauz.

During the Consular Outreach Mission, the Consulate was able to render passport renewal, notarial services, civil registry, and the processing of applications for dual citizenship.

The Consulate also met with a group of around 40 Filipino teachers holding J1 US Visas at a teachers’ forum at the Grant Middle School, Albuquerque, New Mexico on 10 November 2019.

New Mexico is home to some 9,527 Filipinos. END
