PH Consulate General in Chicago Holds 2nd Consumer Fraud Seminar

CHICAGO 23 December 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in cooperation with the Illinois Office of Attorney General, organized the 2nd Public Seminar on Consumer Fraud at the Consulate on 14 November 2019.

Government and Community Relations Officer and Immigrant Assistance Program Coordinator Nettie Lasko discussed the programs and services provided by the Office of the Attorney General in Illinois, including “FRAUD ALERTS: Protect Yourself from Scams” during the oath-taking ceremony of former Filipinos whose petitions for the retention/reacquisition of Philippine citizenship were approved.

Likewiase, Lasko reiterated Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s commitment to advance and protect the public interests of its residents by enforcing state laws and working with the members of the Illinois General Assembly to enact new laws. END
