PH Joins First Global Refugee Forum in Solidarity with Refugees

The event was facilitated by the Global Compact on Refugees in collaboration with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Switzerland and co-convened by Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Germany, Pakistan, and Turkey aiming to mobilize political support, to increase cooperation, to identify concrete actions in addressing refugee issues worldwide, and to improve international response to new and existing refugee situations.

“The Philippines is here at the historic First Global Refugee Forum in solidarity with refugees worldwide. We join other States and stakeholders in the spirit of cooperation and to share our contribution to alleviate their plight in the spirit of international responsibility-sharing,” said Ambassador Garcia.
