PH Ambassador to the UAE Meets Ras Al Khaimah Ruler

ABU DHABI 06 January 2020 — Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn Quintana was received by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, at the Al-Dhait Palace on 11 December 2019 in Ras Al Khaimah.

Ras Al Khaimah is one of the seven Emirates that comprise the Federation of the United Arab Emirates. It is home to around 15,000 Overseas Filipinos who are mostly in the healthcare, education, and hospitality industries.

After the call, Ambassador Quintana was given a briefing about Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) by its Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi. The RAKEZ official expressed interest in collaborating with Philippine entities in the education sector.

When in Ras Al Khaimah, Ambassador Quintana also engaged with Filipinos in RAK Hospital and St. Mary’s High School. END
