07 April 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Athens sent a five-member Embassy team to Nicosia, Cyprus from March 28 to 30 in order to meet the Filipino community and render consular mobile services. The team was able to process 656 passport application forms, 18 civil registrations, 31 affidavits and 680 Pag-IBIG transactions. 

During the mission, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) also took the opportunity to provide information to Filipinos on the Philippine Government's programs designed to empower overseas Filipino workers and their families in the Philippines, through skills enhancement trainings, seminars, other programs and benefits available to OWWA members and their loved ones. 

A Pag-IBIG representative also provided pertinent information regarding its programs. The Filipinos who were served by the mission expressed gratitude for the Embassy's effort to touch base with them. END
