PH Consul General to Los Angeles Calls on Las Vegas Mayor

LOS ANGELES 16 January 2020 –– Philippine Consul General in Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz called on City of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman on 04 November 2019 at the Mayor’s Office.

During the call, the Mayor acknowledged the contributions of Filipino-Americans to the fields of medicine and entertainment. She also mentioned the appointment of Filipino-American Designer David Tupaz as member of the City’s Board of the Arts Commission. The Mayor shared the recent opening of the Innovation District Center of Las Vegas that will be the focal point and destination for smart city technology infrastructure investments into the city.

In response, the Consul General expressed his appreciation to the Mayor for protecting the welfare of over 100,000 Filipino-Americans in Las Vegas.

Mayor Goodman has been the City’s mayor since 2011 and City’s second female mayor. END
