COPENHAGEN 09 December 2019  –– The consular team from the Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen, led by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Al-Bari B. Macalawan, and five other personnel, conducted the first ever consular outreach program in Kolding, Denmark on 30 November 2019.

Kolding is a Danish seaport located in the Region of Southern Denmark, about 240 kilometers from the city of Copenhagen. It is a transportation, commercial, and manufacturing centre, and has numerous industrial companies, principally geared towards shipbuilding. About 500 Filipinos live in the Kolding-Vejle-Fredericia area.

The consular team was able to process 64 passport applications, four Reports of Birth (ROB), two  Reports of Marriage (ROM), one visa application, one travel document, one acknowledgment of au pair contract, six notarials (affidavits/SPA), release of 12 new passports, and  five consular consultations- a total of 95  services rendered, during the weekend outreach.

The consular team was assisted by the members of the Filipino community in Kolding led by Ms. Leovina Trinidad and Ms. Frannie Jensen who helped in the logistical arrangements of the outreach and the meet-and-greet.

In its goal to bring consular services closer to Filipino communities across Denmark, the Embassy has already conducted four consular missions since opening in January this year. END
