PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Hails Filipino Designer in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES 09 December 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles joined the Filipino-American community in Southern California in the launch of a fashion show dubbed, “John Ablaza, Nature and Nuture” on 25 October 2019 at the Scientology of the Valley Auditorium, North Hollywood, California.

Helmed by John Ablaza, an internationally-acclaimed Filipino designer known for his advocacy in promoting sustainable fashion, the creations made use of natural and organic materials such as seeds, bark reeds and coco beads sourced from the Philippines.

Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz expressed his felicitations to Ablaza and his partner organizations for successfully organizing the show. He likewise encouraged the guests to join Ablaza in his advocacy in eco-fashion, which supports Filipino farmers and their livelihood. END
