PH Embassy in Brunei Joins Awareness Campaign on Anti-Violence Against Women (Anti-VAW)

BRUNEI 20 January 2020 –– The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam actively participated in an Awareness Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) from 27 to 29 November 2019 through various activities with the Filipino community.
Information-Education-and-Communication (IEC) materials on women’s rights and the Philippine laws protecting women and children, together with a simple token of Philippine-made soap, were distributed to the consular clients of the Embassy from 25 to 29 November 2019. During the same period, short video clips of VAW Unspoken Words were likewise shown at the Consular Area.
On 29 November 2019, Embassy personnel wore the “VAW-free Community Starts With Me” stickers to demonstrate their solidarity in ending violence against women. END
