PH Consulate General in Agana Joins Filcom of Guam 65th Anniversary Celebrations

AGANA 10 DECEMBER 2019 –– The Philippine Consulate General in Agana led by Consul Mark Francis C. Hamoy joined the Filipino Community of Guam (FCG) at its 65th anniversary celebration dubbed “Sunday Brunch for a Cause” on 17 November 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
Attended by more than 300 people including Government of Guam officials led by Guam Lt. Governor Joshua Tenorio, members of the 35th Guam Legislature, religious sector, officers and staff of the Consulate General, business sector, and the officers and members of different Filipino organizations on Guam, The event featured a runway show of FCG officers and guests wearing traditional Philippine attire.
In his remarks, Consul Mark Francis C. Hamoy thanked and congratulated FCG on its 65 years of leadership and service, not just to the Filipino community, but to the entire community on Guam.
Established on 24 October 1954 with the objective of fostering unity and closer relations among Filipinos and Filipino-Americans on Guam, FCG has been at the forefront of socio-civic and cultural activities, and scholarship programs on the island, as well as volunteer and charity work for humanitarian causes and to support calamity victims in the Philippines.
