PH Consulate General in Dubai Holds Health Forum on Heart Disease

DUBAI 10 December 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates in partnership with Thumbay Hospital held a forum on Prevention of Heart Diseases held on 25 November 2019 at the Philippine Consulate General – Rizal Hall.
A team of heart specialists from Thumbay Hospital, Dubai composed of Consultant Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Pradeep Nambiar, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Mohammed Shehata, and Specialist Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Houcem Amiour, gave participants an eye-opening look at heart diseases as well as ways of preventing them.
The forum was held in light of the growing concern about heart diseases among Filipino in Dubai and Northern Emirates. Heart attack and related disease have become a leading cause of death of overseas Filipinos in the UAE.
The doctors highlighted the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, plenty of exercise and healthy diet as most effective way of avoiding heart problems. END
