PH Embassy in Madrid Conducts Campaign on Drug Abuse Prevention, Education

MADRID 10 December 2019 –– The Philippine Embassy in Madrid conducted a series of information campaign on drug abuse prevention and education in Madrid and Barcelona on 05 and 06 December 2019, as part of the Embassy´s Assistance-To-Nationals (ATN) program.
Attended by the leaders of different Filipino organizations, the two seminars which was separately held in Madrid and Barcelona, discussed the effects of drug abuse and prevention as well as the assistance extended by the Spanish government. The discussion also covered relevant laws, rights and services available.
The Embassy also distributed “Komiks” on drug abuse prevention and education issued by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and list of important numbers and concerned agencies in Spain.
The seminars were spearheaded by Consul Ralf G. Roldan and ATN Officer Edgar C. Canta. Philippine Honorary Consul in Barcelona Atty. Chona T. Abiertas assisted the Embassy officials and gave also a talk during the seminar held at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Barcelona. END
