PH Embassy in Mexico Promotes Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy for Filipinos in Costa Rica

MEXICO 13 December 2019 –– The Philippine Embassy in Mexico, together with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Mexico conducted a Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) seminar for the Filipino community in San Jose, Costa Rica on 12 December 2019.

First Secretary and Consul Ma. Carmela Teresa A. Cabreira and Commercial Counsellor Vichael Angelo D. Roaring represented the Embassy and PTIC Mexico, respectively, at the seminar. 

The seminar, which was attended by approximately by 25 members of the community in San Jose, were geared towards promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship among overseas Filipinos and inspire them to jointly undertake projects or steps with their families (whether abroad or in the Philippines) to secure their financial future. 

In addition to the seminar, the Embassy’s personnel conducted mentoring sessions for some Filipinos who attended the event as they are already proprietors of small business ventures in Costa Rica, mostly in the food sector. A number of Filipinos own restaurants in San Jose. END
