PH Consulate General in Hong Kong Resumes Overseas Voter Registration Services

HONG KONG 17 December 2019 –– Overseas Voter Registration (OVR) in Hong Kong resumed as scheduled on 16 December 2019.
Overseas Filipinos took the opportunity to avail of OVR services and register for the upcoming National Elections in 2022. Voter Registration Machines were set up at the Consulate’s elevator lobby for maximum exposure.
The Consulate expects to increase its number of registrants from its 2019 numbers of 87,441 registered voters and plans to embark on registration activities in all the 18 districts of Hong Kong.
This year, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has deactivated over 16,000 overseas voters in Hong Kong. END
