PH Embassy in Manama Holds Children’s Day and Medical Mission

MANAMA 23 January 2020 — The Tau Gamma Sigma – Triskelion International Kingdom of Bahrain Council (TIKOB), in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in Manama held a Children’s Day and Medical Mission at the Embassy grounds from on 19 January 2020.
As part of their 51st Anniversary celebration, TIKOB members and its volunteer dentist from Fadel Al Alawi Clinic and Caregivers from Philippine-Bahrain Caregivers Society conducted a free medical mission for our kababayans, especially for the children who participated in the Embassy’s Wika, Kultura at Kasaysayan (WIKKA) 2019, and the beneficiaries of the Embassy’s OPLAN KABATAAN Program. The medical services provided included dental check-up, random blood-sugar testing, and vital signs checking.
A production of Severino Reyes’ “Alamat ng Lamok” was staged by TIKOB members. Story-telling sessions featuring Dr. Jose Rizal’s “Ang Pagong at ang Matsing”, was likewise read by TIKOB members, Early Sol A. Gadong’s “Ayoko Po Sana” was read to the children by Philippine Ambassador to Manama Alfonso A. Ver. Other activities for kids included face painting and origami, adult participants had Zumba workout session.
Dance and song performances were also presented by TIKOB members to entertain guests. END
