PH Embassy in Athens Conducts Consular Outreach in Cyprus

CYPRUS 23 January 2020 — In response to the needs of Filipino nationals of Nicosia and neighboring areas to keep their passports valid and obtain other important documents, the Philippine Embassy in Athens, led by Consul General to Athens Rosario P. Lemque, together with the newly arrived Labor Attaché Cynthia R. Cruz and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrative Staff Gemma G. Dio, conducted a two-day consular outreach from 18 to 19 January 2020 at the El Greco Meeting Room of the Classic Hotel in Nicosia. 

The Consular outreach team processed 231 applications for passport renewal, four applications for lost passports, two applications for travel documents, one recapture of biometrics, four applications for certificates of legal capacity to contract marriage, five applications for report of marriage, two applications for report of birth, seven applications forms for NBI clearance and fingerprinting, one certificate of registration (for legal instrument), eight affidavits, 26 acknowledgments (special power of attorney), 128 registrations for overseas voting, 166 renewals of OWWA membership, and 233 verifications of employment contract by Philippine Overseas Labor Office.

The consular team also released 268 passports, two travel documents, three reports of marriage, two reports of birth, seven application forms for NBI clearance and fingerprinting, 14 certifications (13 gratis - of new passports under process and one with pay), 8 affidavits and 26 acknowledgments (special power of attorney).
