PH Embassy in Kuwait Marks Rizal Day 2019 with Wreath-Laying, Film Showing

PHOTO: Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. and Consul General to Mohd. Noordin Pendosina N. Lomondot leads the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait's commemoration of the 123rd anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal with a wreath-laying ceremony on 29 December 2019 at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal premises.

In his speech before the Embassy’s officers, staff and clients, Chargé d'Affaires Lomondot exalted Dr. Rizal for his contributions to the birth of the Philippine nation, through his works such as Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. He enjoined those in attendance to follow the example of the country’s national hero in serving the more than 230,000 overseas Filipinos in Kuwait.

During the day, a public viewing of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines documentary entitled, "Jose Rizal: Sa Landas Ng Paglaya," was held at the Embassy's Consular and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) sections. (Kuwait PE photos)
