PH Ambassador to Kenya Meets with Filipino Community in Malawi

MALAWI 24 January 2020 –– During his travel to Lilongwe, Malawi for the presentation of his credentials to Malawian President Arthur Peter Mutharika, Philippine Ambassador to Kenya Alex G. Chua met with the Filipino community in Lilongwe as his first order of business in Malawi. The meeting was held at the Sunbird Capital Hotel on 05 January 2020.

The meeting provided a meaningful opportunity to discuss with the Filipino community their situation and concerns as workers and residents of Malawi.

Ambassador Chua thanked the Filipinos for bringing honor to the Philippines in Malawi through their hard work and friendly attitude.

The members of the community conveyed that they are satisfied with their lives in Malawi as the Malawians appreciate their contributions to their society.

There are around 60 Filipinos in Lilongwe who are working in various areas, as engineers, medical practitioners, managers in factories, and domestic staff. END
