PH Embassy in Damascus Commemorates the 123rd Death Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal
PHOTO: On 30 December 2019, the Philippine Embassy in Damascus, Syria, commemorates the 123rd Death Anniversary of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal with the theme “Jose Rizal: Huwaran ng Pilipino sa Ika Dalawampu’t Isang Siglo” (“Jose Rizal: Model for Filipinos in the Twenty-First Century”).
Flowers are offered at the Chancery’s soon to be inaugurated Sentro Rizal Room. A film showing of “Jose Rizal” followed. The film centered on inspiring and reminding Filipinos the sense, worth, and meaning of fulfilling one’s duties to country, family, and self, while reflecting on the values and principles of Dr. Jose Rizal, which are as relevant today as they were in his time.
