PH Consulate General in Jeddah Chairs ACGC-TWG Meeting to Finalize Plans for Asian Cultural Activities

JEDDAH 06 January 2020 –– The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah called for a lunch-meeting with the Asian Consuls General Club Technical Working Group (ACGC-TWG) on 26 December 2019 at Piatto Restaurant, Le Chateau Center in Jeddah.

The meeting, led by Vice-Consul Alfred Kristoffer Guiang, gave updates on the preparations for the club’s major activities in 2020 such as a month-long Asian Film Festival set in February until the first week of March next year, and an Asian Food Festival slated on 6 March 2020. The two activities aim to promote the artistic traditions of member Asian countries through food and film.

For 2019 until early 2020, the Consulate General is the coordinator of the club and has since convened a series of meetings to ensure that the major activities of the Club will be executed well.

ACGC is composed of 13 member Asian countries, namely Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the Philippines. END
