PH Embassy in Yangon Visits Mandalay for First Consular Mission in 2020

YANGON 29 January 2020 — In response to the needs of Filipino nationals in the Mandalay Region, the Philippine Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar deployed a consular team led by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jan Michael B. Gomez on 26 January 2020 at the Hotel Mandalay in Maharaungmyay Township in Mandalay City for its first Consular Mission for 2020.

There are around 100 Filipinos in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. The majority of Filipinos in Mandalay are teachers and engineers.

The Philippine Embassy Consular Team will return to Mandalay for its second Consular Mission in May 2020. END
