NAIROBI 14 January 2020 –– The Philippine Embassy in Nairobi, represented by Cultural Officer Hossana P. Dela Cruz, joined the Filipino community in Nairobi as they shared their blessings with the orphans of the Welcome to the Family Children’s Home.

Welcome to the family Children’s Home is run by Filipino priest, Father Deem Virtuzado of the congregation of the poor Servants of Divine Providence in Nakuru, Kenya on 22 December 2019.

The Filipino community members opted to celebrate Christmas modestly in order to give cheer and gifts to the less fortunate. “The joy in the eyes of the children as they danced and played with the members of the Filipino community is priceless reminder that Christmas is about being grateful and sharing your blessings,” said Ms. Dela Cruz, a sentiment echoed by the members of the community.
