ASEAN Committee in Santiago Visits Chilean Milk Company

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in Santiago (ACS) visited the Cooperativa Agricola y Lechera de La Unión Limitada (COLUN) on 16 January 2020.
Better known as COLUN, the Chilean milk company is a cooperative founded in 1949. It is presently with some 70 dairy producers from the area, as members. Among COLUN´s products are cheeses, yogurt, butter, ultra-high-temperature processing (UHT) cream, manjar and other milk products.
The ACS was briefed on COLUN’s history, mission, operations and plans and was given a tour of its most modern plant.
The ACS also joined the ceremony of the agriculture seminar in the COLUN headquarters followed by bilateral talks.
