PH Embassy in Canberra Provides Consular Services to Almost 1000 Filipinos in Victoria
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy rendered a total of 981 consular clients during its last mobile consular mission to Melbourne, Victoria from 20 to 24 January 2020.
The Consular Mission was headed by Consul General to Canberra Aian A. Caringal. Other members of the team were Ms. Rowena Ma. Carmen T. Sierra, Mr. Ruel Peñaflorida and Mr. Roderick B. Sierra (VRM Operator for Voter Registration).
Representatives from the attached agencies, Philippine Overseas Labor Office’s Antonio Saquing and Colonel Romeo Bautista and Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attache Technical Sergeant Ricardo Lasmarias were also present. (Canberra PE photo)
The Melbourne Mobile Mission team, with the support of the Philippine Honorary Consul Felix Pintado and his volunteer staff, attended to 576 Philippine ePassport applicants, administered the oath of allegiance to 68 applicants who reacquired their Philippine citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225 or the Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003, processed 45 application for transfer of voting records and registered 291 overseas voters.
