PH Consulate General in Agana Officially Launches VIP Tour for 2020

AGANA 07 February 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Agana hosted a breakfast briefing and sign-up campaign on 28 January 2020 to officially launch the Very Important Pinoy (Ambassadors) Tour for 2020 at the Pandanus Pavilion of the Guam Reef Hotel.
The launching was attended by Speaker Tina Muña Barnes of the 35th Guam Legislature, officers of the Filipino community of Guam led by its president Mr. James Robinson, and members of the Filipino and business community on Guam.
Consul Mark Francis C. Hamoy, Acting Head of Post of the Philippine Consulate General in Agana, encouraged Filipinos and Guamanians to join this year’s tour that will feature visits to Manila, Iloilo and Boracay on 19 to 26 2020. The VIP Ambassadors Tour is a flagship tourism promotion program of the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. and all the Philippine Consulates General in the United States.
The Tour is designed to provide guests with insights on Philippine history, culture, and lifestyle. Since 2005, Guam has already sent more than a hundred participants consisting of Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, and Guamanians, including Guam government officials, political leaders, business people, teachers and students.
Participants throughout the years have expressed satisfaction with the unique group travel experience that the tour offered. For the 10th edition in 2015, the Guam delegation was the second largest with 35 participants, next only to the delegation from Hawaii.
