PH Embassy in Moscow Holds “Kapihan Sa Pasuguan” Lecture on Women’s Reproductive Health Care

MOSCOW 12 February 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Moscow hosted its first Gender and Development (GAD) activity for the year in a “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” lecture on Women’s Reproductive Health Care on 09 February 2020.
Best Clinic Medical Center in Moscow Dr. Abdul Gamidov delivered the lecture on the most common issues and concerns of his Filipino patients. The lecture, attended by the Embassy personnel and members of the Filipino community, was also broadcasted live in the Embassy’s Facebook page (Philippine Embassy in Russia).
The activity forms part of the Embassy’s Gender and Development (GAD) program and is the first of several lectures and skills training sessions this year, which are aimed at helping members of the Filipino community achieve wellness, acquire skills for livelihood, eventual reintegration to Philippine society, and learn personality development techniques.
The Embassy believes that by equipping personnel and members of the Filipino community with right knowledge and skills, migrant workers – particularly women – will be more empowered to make decisions that will not only benefit themselves but will also contribute to nation-building and development.
