PH Consul General to Milan Calls on the Prefect of Milan

MILAN 13 February 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Milan Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez paid a courtesy call on the Prefetto of Milan Renato Saccone at the latter’s office in Corso Monforte, Milan on 10 February 2020.

Preffeto Saccone heads the Prefettura of Milan, the representative office of the Italian national government in charge of public administration, safety, and immigration in the province of Milan.

Consul General Fernandez and Preffeto Saccone exchanged views on matters of mutual concern including the entry of Filipinos to Italy using established modes, such as through the family reunification process and under the Flussi Decree.

Consul General Fernandez also conveyed the interest of the Consulate in working with the Prefettura to conduct activities for Filipinos in Milan in collaboration with Italian authorities and in helping sustain the friendship between the Philippines and Italy complementing efforts by the Philippine Embassy in Rome.
