Helsinki Delights in Paisano’s Filipino Kitchen with a Twist

HELSINKI 13 February 2020 – Filipino cuisine continues to excite the Helsinki restaurant scene as Paisano opened last year in Helsinki centre with culinary creations inspired by dishes from all over the Philippines, matched with cocktails featuring intense Filipino flavors.
Helsinki recognized Paisano as one of the best new restaurants and awarding its bar as the best for 2019. Its chefs, were also recognized as one of 2019’s entreprenuers of the year.
Heaps of praises from Paisano’s clientele are found in Trip Advisor, Google, and other online reviews, “The restauranteurs of Pobre elevate filipino flavours to a new level in Paisano,” one client said. Paisano is another creative idea from the Filipino owners cum chefs of the successful Pobre Filipino in Helsinki’s Kamppi shopping mall. Paisano is in Korkeavuorenkatu 45, Helsinki, a few steps from Helsinki’s famous Esplanadi Park.
Philippine Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Mariel Algabre, Minister Raul Dado of the soon-to-open Philippine Embassy in Stockholm, and Philippine Consul General to Helsinki Jyrki Kupila, spent an evening at Paisano Restaurant in their meeting with the Filipino community leaders in Finland.
