PH Ambassdor to Norway Visits Kamalig for Home-Cooked Filipino Favorites in Helsinki

HELSINKI 13 February 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General Mariel Algabre, and Minister Raul Dado of the soon-to-open Philippine Embassy in Stockholm met the new owners of Kamalig, a Filipino restaurant located at Heitalahti Market Hall in Helsinki on 06 February 2020.

Ambassador Batoon-Garcia, Consul General Algabre, and Minister Dado tasted Kamalig’s well-loved Filipino dishes, such as crispy pork belly, seafood adobo, caldereta, chicken inasal,  and turon with ube ice cream and pinipig.

Now under a new management, Kamalig earned commendations from TripAdvisor and Helsinki’s Restaurant Guru. In a market hall offering cuisines from different countries, Kamalig champions home-cooked Filipino favorites. END
